EditI have kited here a few times and I know there are two local boys who kite here and elsewhere on UnIsland. I do not have a good understanding of the wind here but when I rode here is was blowing from the south 25 knots. The wind was a little gusty coming over the land but not bad considering. Warm, flat water and amazing scenery!
It is your responsibility to check whether kitesurfing is allowed at the spot; you might need a 'special permit' or membership from a local kite organization, etc. Local rules can change. Respect others - kiters or not; kite safely and enjoy the wind!
